Churai Alen
Churai Alen is an artist who lives in the Great Circle Woods. She works with paint and stone, augmented with subtle magical treatments and her sculptures can be found in various hidden nooks and glades throughout the woodland. She is also a patron of the performing arts and is the current organiser of the Festival of Song amongst many other smaller projects with which she is involved.
Churai Alen is the second daugher of Queen Iceina Lanti. Her older sister Quathooma Xinva was a queen of the fey until she died in childbirth and the crown passed to her consort. In the turbulent events which followed, it was Queen Mab who would eventually assume the throne. Since the queen is childless, and there are no surviving relatives from the generation in between, it so happens that her grandmother's sister, Churai Alen, is actually first in line to the throne, if anything were to happen to Queen Mab. Churai has no interest in politics and has chosen to not even live in Shaldarenen with the rulers of the Fey Court. The prospect that she might one day become queen, fills her with dread. Of late, she has taken an active interest in the subtle arts of matchmaking for her sister's grandchild, perhaps hoping to ensure the line of succession and decrease the chances that she will ever be called upon to rule herself.
