Provost
The Free Union of Magical Scholars used the title of Provost for their leader. The Provost was elected by the faculty for a five year term, which contrasted with the life terms of Arcane Chancellors of the Institute of Magical Analytics. This constitutional difference was considered to be an important means of limiting the power of the Provost by those mages who chose to join the Free Union of Magical Scholars.
