Talfamtha
Talfamtha is the spirit of the forest in the realm of Earth Rustic. She is often seen as a beautiful but stern dryad, although they say that she is capable of assuming many forms. In the West Leaf March, they make small wayside shrines dedicated to the spirit and travellers will always drop to one knee and bow for a brief moment to acknowledge her presence in the woods. This particular shrine can be found on the south bank of the river Bann, about half way between Bannington and Banorchard.
There are many stories about Talfamtha but in all of them she is the protector of trees and wildlands beyond the farms, aided by her faithful and most potent servant, Dendros. It was Talfamtha who according to a legend of the Western Leaf March, cursed the Rabbit Man and made him also her undying servant.
