Cratt

Cratts are a "disgusting" exotic creature that live on the Far East Continent. These creatures look similar to dogs, but are incredibly muscled, skinless, and as some say, disgusting to look at. These creatures are incredibly powerful and brutal, engineered by nature to survive in the island known as Cratt. 

  These Cratts are, as stated previously, skinless, muscled beasts with a profound taste for blood. They eat anything that is meaty, some even consuming bones. Cratt is a very dangerous island due to these creatures. They feast primarily on Rabbit Sillcratts, another creature that is adapted to live in the brutal plains of the isle. 
It is said that one can tame one of these beasts, but it is incredibly difficult. If this is true is unknown, but it is doubtable at best. These savage creatures seem to want to rip apart any sentient they come across. 
These creatures' meat is rough and disgusting, too, but is said to be very healthy. It's also known to many potionmakers to make an extremely good strength potion if used right. The potion is quite complicated, however.
Typically, an interaction goes like this. It spots you, you run, you realize that it's going to fast, and then you manage to escape into water or are eaten. This being said, The only real way to survive an encounter is to dive into water. They are killeable, but only by a powerful bow, as their muscles are incredibly strong.
Cratts are a dangerous creature for a dangerous place. A longtime saying and a common phrase among many cultures, is that the best way to avoid a Cratt is by not going to Cratt.

Genetics and Reproduction

These creatures reproduce for hours on end, when one isn't hunting, eating, or sleeping, they are mating.

Growth Rate & Stages

A young Cratt will seem docile enough, however, as it gets older (Around one year) they will begin to get extremely violent, sometimes killing their sibling and sometimes even their mother.

Ecology and Habitats

The plains of Cratt are difficult to survive in, but they manage to get along by preying on Sillcratts, the herbivorous response to Cratts.

Dietary Needs and Habits

These creatures are carnivorous, and only carnivorous.

Additional Information

Domestication

Using controlled mating, eating, starvation, and sexual starvation, these creatures can be tempered to one sentient, or it is supposed. It may just be legend. There are few to none participants in Cratt-taming.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The meat is used in potions and as meat, although mostly in potions and rarely as meat.
