Smanshulun

Smanshuluns are a rare yet interesting creature. More commonly known as the cave golem or rock golem, the Smanshulun is a large stone creature with red gems in it's body that will attack any Humans on sight. It resides rarely in caves, blending into the environment until it desires to strike.
These creatures are typically Humanoid rock structures, however they typically lack a pronounced head, the torso is significantly oversized, and the arms and legs are significantly shorter. It is a wide creature with a knack for smashing and crushing. Some, however, do have a small head structure, but they typically lack a neck, or the head is more like an extension of the neck.   These creatures are typically first seen by the glint of red gems on their body. They are typically very reflective, so it isn't too difficult to spot. If you see one, it should be fine as long as you don't approach. They can feel your vibrations, too, so making too much noise or stomping to hard can aggravate it and make it attack.    If you get too close, the Smashulun is a difficult enemy to defeat. Being made entirely of rock, many a peasant and many a Hero have died to them. However, the rock is soft enough to be swatted away with using a sword. Essentially hitting it hard enough gets rid of some of the rock and causes it to crack. Typically a warhammer or axe is best, however.    To kill this foul beast, all you must do is either immobilize it or rip it's jewel eyes out. Typically ripping it's eyes is the easiest, but with a hammer, a solid strike to one of the eyes will typically kill it. It depends on how hard the strike is, however, and the strength of the hammer, and the strength of the man wielding it.
These creatures feed off of the rocks they are surrounded with, and only expend energy in very limited amounts, only fighting when it's territory is encroached upon. It's territory is typically fairly small, which is why they can be avoided easily.   They reproduce by splitting off miniature golems with the red jewels on their backs and fronts being the new eyes for the juvenile. The Juvenile sinks deep into the stone, attempting to stay away from other creatures, but are typically caught by Nymphs or Nasculon or just miners and are squashed. The younger ones that survive slowly grow, until they are mature enough to start sprouting gems from themselves.
