Aphren's Hold was a ruined stronghold that dates back sometime in the First Era. As the name implies, it is named after the Merchant-King of Wayrest, Aphren Gardner, whose reign was infamous for his desire to expand his dominion by conquering his neighbors through his ruthless mercantilism.
Now the stronghold is nothing more than a stately manor that has housed the patriach of House Mornesorrow for the last few decades. Much like its patron owner, the manor is a shadow of its former self.
