Knight

The knight is the lowest title attributed by lineage, merit or status. An individual may only be knighted by a certain rank of noble which varies from culture to culture and kingdom to kingdom. A knight is expected to conform to the strictures of chivalry and service to one's liege and lord. Knights are mounted warriors bearing heavy armor and are vital to military success in today's age. Knights are often organized under a Bannerlord who leads them in battle. Some Bannerlords hold claim to their knight's feudal duties as well through direct service. Knights sworn directly to another noble are often referred to as Bannermen.
