The Battle of the Brothers Approach was a conflict between the Vammar heirs and the usurper of Rhaemor, the High Lord Cales Drevhedir. Though outnumbered by Rhaemor, the Vammar forces boast of twice as many knights and the proficiency of the mercenary companies Ser Arol had retained for the campaign. The two armies had camped a mile apart across a green, sandy field and awaited what today would bring.

The battle lasted over four hours when it was suddenly ended in favor of the Rhonish troops. Lady Catriona, leader of a banner containing her friends, was one of two leader-knights who managed to push an opening into the Rhaemorrian defense line and shattered their lines. The other banner leader, Ser Olorin Noramyr, was injured grievously but triumphant in the maneuver.

With a non-existent flank, the entire Rhaemorrian army turned their backs and ran east as fast as they deemed possible. It was a very decisive victory with Rhaemor losing one out of every three professional combatants. In addition, over two hundred armed serfs were decimated and the remaining survivors never returned to the army.

The majority of the Rhaemorrian forces followed the HIGH LORD to seek shelter behind the walls of SCARDANCE KEEP. Another force, unidentified in name, fled to the southwest and were later discovered to have occupied the town of DOSA.
