Reckoning Day
Each year begins on Reckoning day, a special holiday that stands apart from the rest of the calendar and is not part of any month. On Reckoning Day gifts are given, grudges are settled, crimes are judged, and a new year begins again.
This is not entirely symbolic either. Each year on Reckoning Day Principalities in the service of Primus, the god of time and order, appear throughout the world, hear grievances and pronounce judgments in accordance with whatever local laws and customs rule the land. These rulings are incontrovertible and strictly abided by, for the peoples of Ora understand the immense power of their gods.
