Demons

The demon race is a species of beings whose origins are shrouded in mystery. Not much is known about them other than what some of Aigea’s most powerful scholars and mages. Unlike the beings of Aigea, demons are ranked. Lesser demon’s populate the demon realm much like the regular beings of Aigea. They have lives, family, society and function within rules of their kingdom. Demons are not all malevolent. Just like the other races of Aigea, they equally have good and bad members, but their culture is rife in a violent past. In appearance, demons can exist in various different forms and there is no set appearance for demons. Many of the lesser demons which inhabit the demon race are humanoid in stature, with bluey grey skin. They have yellow eyes and fanged teeth. They are able to see perfectly in the dark and are sustained on a diet of raw meats. The more elite demons have less common forms, some being monstrous to behold and some more beautiful than imaginable. However they all share one common attribute which links all the variations. Their blood is that of a dark purple colour. The demon race is ruled by the Demon King. Below him, his generals, the nine princes and princess of the Abyss rule different areas of the Abyss.
