Langlois Noël Apollo

Langlois Noël Apollo (a.k.a. Father Archive)

I find it somewhat distasteful to talk about myself, considering the weight of what I end up recording in my travels on a concerningly regular basis. The movements of kings, the feelings of cultures, the clashing of armies. All these bear so much more importance and meaning than I, who simply holds the pen. It was either this or journalism however, and so on I march.   In no uncertain terms, I have stumbled into this path purely on accident. A fluke of circumstance combined with a childhood penchant for writing down everything after receiving a shod hoof to the head left me with memory problems until a Glasscutter came to town has put me in the esteemed position of chronicler and historian stuck in between the events as they happen.   I have seen two kings be killed in front of me, the queen of one die to a horrific disease contracted during a Delve she took chasing dreams of reviving her husband, three revolutions die at spear and gunpoint, then two be born in powder explosion large enough to wipe forts from the map. I've seen the masts of sailing vessels be joined with smokestacks, and the common soldier go from carrying halberds and wheellock pistols to the rifled musket and finally to the modern breechloader.   I'm quite entranced by the development of canning, particularly of preserves, since my childhood. A reminder of home in the form of food as kept me from insanity and despair over the centuries.   If I can give you a word of advice; If you see me walking in your direction, and there hasn't been a event worth writing down in your area within very recent memory, I would advise running in the opposite direction. I promise, I'll take no offence.
My mother still states that I was born for whatever you'd call my current occupation, since I was born the day (she likes to say it lined up to a degree more akin to a few minutes) that the previous wheel came to an end, and the current began.
