Newsay Islet

Newsay Islet is a small island that appears as the tip of a mountain peeking out over the waves. It has a small cove that ships sometimes use for refuge when traveling to or from Karnmeny Haven.

Geography

Newsay Islet is a long ridge of rock that reaches high in the sky, like a mountain. It has only a small amount of flat land on its western end, the rest is mossy rock. Newsway has a cove on its southern side that offers protection from storms, especially those rolling down from the north (like Adgen storms).

Fauna & Flora

Newsay is home to a few lemurs, a few kinds of lizard, and several birds roost there on occasion. Because there are few trees on Newsay, the lemurs and birds mostly make their home in rocky outcroppings where they can scavenge for bugs in the moss or aquatic arthropods that climb up to or are washed onto land. On occasion, sea turtles lay their eggs on the small shores of Newsay.
