Two Doubloon Horde
The Two Doubloon Horde is Korosa's adventuring guild. They function similarly to the Sharpgold Bounty Hunters, just with a broader spectrum of work and less stringent membership conditions. The Horde takes nearly any job offered to them if the pay is good enough, and are often contracted to hunt down ocean monsters, escort merchant convoys, or deliver messages.
Structure
The Two Doubloon Horde is split into six ranks, based on achievements or recommendation. From lowest to highest, the ranks are Arrow, Bolt, Harpoon, Pistol, Rifle, and Cannon. The whole Horde is managed by Guildmaster Shiek Pandarvas, and he has the authority to terminate an adventurer's membership in the guild, but no one person is capable of issuing orders to anyone else in the Horde. All jobs are taken voluntarily, and internal team hierarchy is respected regardless of their constituent ranks--though all members of a team must also be members of the Horde for a job to be issued.
An adventurer's rank is essentially how trusted they are. The higher your rank, the more important jobs you can take. This usually, but not always, corresponds to difficulty; escorting a prominent noble has a minimum rank requirement of Harpoon, despite the relatively low risk.
Culture
The Two Doubloon Horde encourages an atmosphere of competition and rivalry. Jobs are issued on a first-come-first-serve basis making it a race to get the best jobs. Sometimes, multiple teams are assigned to the same task, and the first to complete it is the one who receives payment. This has, rather frequently, led to full-blown battles between teams, and generally discourages the higher-ranked members of the Horde from assisting newcomers.
