Personal history

Reaghan Urthadar was born into a family of paladins and was trained from a young age to follow the path of Torm. He joined the High Order of Torm and quickly rose through the ranks due to his devotion and skill in combat. However, during a mission to find an elven girl foretold to destroy Torm, Reaghan and his group attacked an innocent elf village, resulting in the deaths of many innocent civilians when they refused to turn the girl over.
Haunted by his past mistake, Reaghan left the High Order of Torm and spent years trying to make amends for his actions. He found solace and purpose in serving Tyr, the god of justice, and dedicated himself to righting wrongs and helping those in need.
Eventually, Reaghan became the steward for Lord Dagult Neverember, and worked tirelessly to maintain order and protect the people of Neverwinter. He also worked closely with the Harpers, a secretive organization dedicated to protecting the realm from those who would do it harm.
During his time with the Harpers, Reaghan became involved in a mission to find a map of Ao, an artifact that could grant immense power to whoever possessed it. Along the way, he discovered that his wife, Freda, whom was the girl the High Order of Torm was looking for in the attack on the elf village, was actually alive and had betrayed him by working with Shar, the goddess of darkness.
Devastated by the revelation, Reaghan fell into a deep depression, and was vulnerable to the influence of Cyric, the god of chaos and murder. In a moment of weakness, he was overtaken by Cyric's influence and used his own blade to take his own life.
Despite his tragic end, Reaghan was remembered as a hero by many, who admired his unwavering loyalty to his beliefs and his constant quest for redemption.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Reaghan's motivations to protect and nurture his daughter Valna stem from his deep sense of guilt and responsibility for the past wrongs he committed. He knows firsthand the darkness and evils that exist in the world, and he wants to shield Valna from those dangers and provide her with a life of safety and happiness.
Reaghan is also motivated by his love for Valna, and he sees her as a symbol of hope and redemption for his own soul. He wants to raise her to be a strong and compassionate person who will make the world a better place. Reaghan understands that he cannot shield Valna from all the dangers of the world forever, but he hopes to give her the skills and tools to face them with courage and wisdom.
Additionally, Reaghan may feel a sense of obligation to protect Valna, as he sees her as his second chance to make things right in the world after his past mistakes. He wants to ensure that she has a brighter future than the one he had in his earlier years.
