Cook Of The Woods

Deep in the woods if you're ever in need, a cook named Willow will appear. Or so the legend states.

They'll appear when someone is in need. Sometimes they are dying and the cook comes to comfort them, give the last sense of home and safety they'll have even though they are far away from it. Willow well appear in many forms, they don't have a gender. They appear to the person or creature as what they need. They are sometimes referred to as being death themselves, but their not. Death is a different entity. Willow simply makes it easier for the person or creature passing. Due to this a lot of people are fearful when they appear to them, some even run away. Others give Willow a chance though, listen to what they have to say. Non-humanoid creatures don't find them threatening usually.

Some spirutualist have talked with the spirits after their passing, after the bodies have been recovered. All have a profound sense of peace and comfort when they pass and they didn't feel alone and we're grateful for Willow. The site the body was found also felt this way, the body had been wrapped in a blanket and flowers nearby. Like a loved one had found them.

Willow appears to people with good intentions to the forest itself, it is not always good intentions toward the humanoid inhabitants of the forest. Sometimes, it ends bloody. Willow has no qualms with this even though they almost always appear as a humanoid, it is because the creatures accept them for who they are and never run, never ask too many questions even if they can talk.

Cultural Reception

Due to Willow's ability to shapeshift, each culture claims Willow is their culture. Apart of their heritage. A lot of species in The Eternity Forest are ancient. Some cultures call Willow a omen of good luck, others bad due to the fact how many have perished. This a very unpopular belief among those who loved ones have perished and Willow found them. They are grateful for them and put them up as high as a God to be worshipped.
