Ironshore

Ironshore, the bustling coastal city and capital of the Kingdom of Ironcladach, is a place of striking contrasts. Its name reflects the rich iron mines that once made it a hub of industry, but now it's the bustling royal port and center of trade that gives the city its energy. The streets are filled with a diverse range of citizens, with humans making up the majority, but all known races can be found somewhere within the city's limits.
The beating heart of the city is the Royal Port located on the coast, where ships from all over the known world dock to trade their wares. Outside the port, a bustling market hums with activity, as traders and merchants haggle and barter with customers. The city's large population means that almost all available space is used for either housing, trade, or guard posts. It isn't exclusively a city of trade however, as numerous recreational locations are present. One such location is The Coin Flip, a popular gambling hall for those wishing to try their luck.
The only section of the city that is relatively off-limits, is the areas reserved for nobility. The average citizen requires either very deep pockets, or very deep connections, to gain access to the noble houses. The most prominent line of nobility are the Faulconbridges, who are second only to the ruling monarch of Ironshore, King Cedric the Farseeing.
But beneath the surface, Ironshore's government hides a dark secret. The noble houses that rule the city are rife with corruption, intent on making the rich richer and the poor poorer. Despite the checkpoints and guards, crime is rampant, and citizens must be cautious and keep their wits about them.
Despite the city's challenges, its people are resilient, and they continue to thrive despite the difficulties. Ironshore may be a city of contrasts, but its energy and vitality make it a fascinating place to visit or call home.
