Dawnlight
Dawnlight is the court of ambition and cunning, hoarding all they can collect and reaching for more.
The path to Moonlight from the the Fair is made of separate stone slabs, in a crazy paving style. The path winds round the trees to a huge clearing occupied by a grass-covered mound almost as tall as the surrounding trees. It was large enough for groups of fae to sit and run and face off against each other with stick swords.
To access the court of Dawnlight you need to convince the permanent guards standing in the clearing to open the gate between the chestnut trees for you. Once inside, the walls are made of small stones fitted perfectly together.
The Queen of Dawnlight has ruled for many many moons, and amassed a large collection of treasures. Her throne is ostentatious, made of precious metals and large gems. Imps serve her court, where the fae of Dawnlight favour plain coloured silks, adorned with gems and large metal jewellery.
Zoe's rooms
First ones
The rooms they escorted her to were the most decadent she’d ever had. The bed had a curtain round it and pink satin sheets. A wooden stool stood in front of a side table covered in jars and brushes and clippers. An archway opposite led into another room. It had a sunken pool she assumed functioned as a bath, but there was no obvious way to fill it with water, or a drain. The bathroom was twice as big as her bedroom at home
Second rooms
The main door led to a central sitting area with a large table in the centre and five doors to the sides. Once they left, she and Rascal explored. Three of the doors accessed bedrooms, each with identical four-poster beds and cushioned storage chests. One led to a bathroom with a larger recessed bath than the previous suite. The last door was to a room cleared of furniture, and instead it had a turf floor.
Queen's rooms
The sitting room she found herself in was twice as large as Zoe’s rooms. All the furniture was studded with jewels of different colours, again set in a swirling pattern that drew your eye. The queen sat on a bench to one side
she has a private sitting room private sitting room is full of be-spelled animals. No longer active, so no smell or mess. Just beautiful to admire.

She studied the fae and saw similar faces to those she knew back home. The popular girls, the boys showing off to impress them, the older more experienced at the edges, just all with pointy ears and crueller expressions.
