Lorent Foundry

History

The Lorent Foundry was an iron foundry in Cl. Scavus Vicary in Larfleur that produced many iron products. The foundry created wrought iron roofs, bridges, columns, and girders for construction; decorative and ornamental iron work for homes and furniture; and iron railings, utensils, and stalls. 
The foundry was comprised of a large foundry hall, two finishing shops, a smith shop, two warehouses, a counting house, and a cellar and the premises were enclosed by a brick wall and iron gates. The foundry was one of several artisanal iron foundries in Larfleur which struggled to rival the output of the Granary Ironworks and similar facilities, so focused on produced high quality smaller products.
