The Church of the Crossing has its roots in forgotten religious orders from The Old World, but with modified practices and beliefs during the arduous seven months of The Crossing.
The followers of the Way of the Crossing have an acrimonious distrust with those who follow the Church of the Solune.

Mythology & Lore

During The Crossing, the Elders of several minor religious sects discovered that blood sacrifice would placate the monstrosities of The Plague Sea, thus saving the remnants of humanity from certain damnation and destruction.
Upon arriving in The Bright Lands, these Elders formalized their new belief systems into an organized form, calling it the Church of the Crossing. This new formed religion quickly spread though the realms of man

Worship

Those who follow the ways of the Crossing can be found throughout the Realms of Man. while the faith has been waning over the last century, it is still widely popular amongst herders, hunters, and many city dwellers.

Granted Divine Powers

The magical powers granted to those who serve the gods of the Crossing are powered by blood and sacrifice. The more personal the sacrifice, the greater the intersession granted.
Common sacrifices include; three drops of your blood, a sheep from your flock, or a donation to the church.
