Outer Lands
Geography
Located on the outer rim of Flux, the Outlands are trapped in a near permanent state of cold and dark. During the Flying Flux's biannual alignment with the coin-sun, the ice will temporarily retract and a small portion of the ice will melt into two parallel-running bodies of water known as the Stillwater Rivers. Many unfortunate adventurers have fallen prey to these waters thanks to their massive store of magic, which allow it to manifest thoughts, feelings, and even a physical form. Many have speculated the rivers' appearance to be that of a beautiful nymph, but since most adventurers have few interactions with women and a tendency to lie, chances of this are slim.
Due to the unique shape and rotation of Flux, the Outlands should've long been flung hurled into space and forever lost. The only issue being Chazos, who intentionally defied logic by literally bending space around the warped cylinder to lessen the outward pull and keep everything held together. Because of this, the Outlands are the Flying Flux's highest source of raw magic.
Natural Resources
There is a stunning amount of magically-infused minerals buried deep below the Outlands' icy surface, but nothing that couldn't be found in the Midlands. The most common magical stone in the area conducts just enough heat to warm one's hands while the second most common will take your clothes to another dimension. They only work once and not even the most powerful magician could tell them apart without using it first.
