Link was first encountered when the party attempted to sneak into Stonedeep’s Embassy while it was under siege by the monstrous mountain races.¹

He did not recognize the party for who they were and demanded that they submit themselves for arrest. He was called off and berated by a friendly neighborhood secretary who knew exactly who the party was, and as a punishment for his insolence was assigned to accompany the party on their mission to take over the power plant and restore power production.

Before they could do that, however, they became aware of the danger Timothy Ryder was in a la Naomi Venstrum, and Link accompanied them to Timothy’s house in an attempt to save him. They did so successfully, learning along the way that Link is very aggressive and not very diplomatic, and also that he has absolutely no business being assigned to look after or heal injured people.
