Queen Anne's Revenge

The Queen Anne's Revenge is a ship originally gifted to Bigs by the Archmage for his stellar performance in the archmage's trial. The vigilantes only took her to sea a few times, though they grounded her and converted her into an airship before their campaign across the Atryan countryside in their war to remove the King from his throne.

She was instrumental in their victories at the Harper's Stronghold and outside the walls of King's Landing itself.

LAYOUT

The Queen Anne's Revenge has three floors. The top floor is devoted completely to flying devices and other necessary magical apparatuses. The middle and bottom floors are dedicated to the Portal Accelerators, with the middle floor acting as the loading platform, and the bottom housing the portals for troop deployment and the cannon apparatuses.

FLIGHT APPARATUS

The Queen Anne's Revenge can naturally achieve an altitude of 600 feet, and has a speed of unspecified.

When in flight mode, a number of wide mechanical "leaves" expand out from the ship, working as solar panels to absorb energy. This solar energy is used to power the ship's anti-gravity engines, though she also carries crystal batteries which can provide up to 7 days of straight flight in the absence of light when fully charged. These apparatuses were constructed in such a way that Dewey estimates that it would require the equivalent of a 12th level Dispel Magic to interrupt their flow.

WEAPONRY AND COMBAT

The Queen Anne's Revenge has 1000 effective hit points.

She is outfitted with eight "Portal Accelerators" - four on each of the port and starboard sides - as cannons. When she enters "combat mode", the mechanical 'leaves' which collect power for the ship retract to limit their chances of being damaged, and the crew within prepares the lower floors for battle. Her accelerators require high-level spellcasters to operate - one proficient spellcaster can operate two cannons. Per cannon, two portals must be opened within the belly of the ship, and a boulder or other projectile is dropped between them and allowed to free-fall until it reaches terminal velocity. When given the order to fire, the top portal is then shifted to the outside of the ship and the projectile is launched through it, dealing 40d8 damage - an upgrade from the 40d6 of the first model, courtesy of Dewey. It is a high-risk high-reward process - even slightly inaccurate timing on the portal release could cause the projectile to instead smash through the wall of the ship from the inside, dealing untold damage. It is in this way which Wilbur Tactomy perished in the heat of battle, as his insatiable blood lust led him to some questionable cannoneering.

The trajectory of the projectiles is determined as follows: the party decides their intended target, a 40-foot radius circle. A d20 is then rolled - its result determines whether the projectile is directly on target or off-target. To determine how badly off-target an inaccurate projectile is, a d8 is then rolled to determine the cardinal direction in which the meteor errs (1 being north, 2 being NNE, continuing clockwise), followed by a d10 to determine how many units (tens of feet) the meteor errs in that direction.

Straight down the middle of the bottom floor, weaving between each portal accelerator, are smaller Feather-Falling portals designed to deploy troops to the ground through.

After her maiden voyage, the top deck of the Queen Anne's Revenge was equipped with a number of anti-air cannons - nets loaded into launchers intended to be used against dragons.

Operators: Spellcasters whom the party hired to operate the portal accelerators are as follows: Jessica Stoneman, Selena Firewalker, Wilbur Tactomy
