The Druid

(a.k.a. The Archdruid)

INVOLVEMENT WITH THE VIGILANTES

The druid is a humanoid of indeterminate age, sex, and race, whom the Vigilantes encountered outside of Granting. They were initially under the King of Atrya's employ, rudely interrupting the Vigilantes' war campaign with hazardous and inconvenient weather, notably disrupting the production of the Pseudodragon Vodka farm which provided funds to some of the party members.

When the Blood Moon descended upon Atrya and was officially blamed on the King, the party was able to convince the archdruid to work with them, lending their campaign for blood for the throne aid in exchange for their expedient resolving of the Blood Moon, and the promise of a nature reserve within The Forbidden Forest where the druid could preserve the balance of nature away from the civilization of the kingdom once the new monarch took the throne.

Later, when the Vigilantes prevented a bombing attack on their airship by the slimy ballbag Peter Catoreen, a lone footsoldier escaped the city in the confusion, attempting to carry information to the King. The party convinced the druid to cooperate with them one more time, employing him to hunt down the lone man and eliminate him, in exchange for Gizmo the inventor/marine biologist to share with the druid his knowledge of the flora and fauna of the ocean. Turned out there was no need for that last part, as the druid had already killed the man before the party thought to ask.

The druid aided the Vigilantes' campaign on multiple occasions. They provided (tardy) support in the army and airship's first battle against the King's forces, south of Granting. They also provided uncannily clear flying weather for the airship's trek to the Harper's Stronghold. They provided immense support on the final assault on King's Landing, bringing with them hordes of woodland beasts, and singlehandedly wrestling with a dragon while in their archdruid form (legend says they faceplanted, but they tried their best), providing Ragnar's troops with the opening needed to finish it off. Minutes later, when the trio of Vigilantes strode into the throne room, the druid was one of multiple surprise allies who distracted/dispatched of many of the King's forces, allowing the trio to focus their efforts solely on the King and his guardsmen.

Ultimately, the druid did get the land promised for their nature reserve, but it was land provided them by Ragnar, who confiscated all of said land from the elves, essentially evicting them.

INVOLVEMENT WITH THE ASCENDANTS

About a month after the newly crowned party settled into the lap of luxury, the Blood Moon Crystal was stolen from its definitely secure hiding place, and the Blood Moon returned. Furious, the druid descended upon King's Landing with four krakens, a sea hag, and another unidentifiable sea abomination. They did not want to hear any of the party's excuses, only agreeing not to destroy the capitol city and the trio, and take the throne for themselves, when Ragnar begged a week's grace to resolve the problem, after which they could destroy it and the party.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

It is unknown what race, gender, or age the druid is, as they have lost all resemblance to their original form. They prefer to take on the form of an archdruid at all times, a massive hulking bipedal creature adorned with antlers, feathers, fur, and characteristics of many other animals. After their communal with Gizmo, their archdruid form adapted to permanently have gills. They have also been spotted to have an aquatic form, with the top half a familiar archdruid form, and the bottom half fish.
