The Weaver's Winter

Havenport grows. The Tribunal restricts creation of new spells and artifacts. Weavers are expelled into the wilds.

The Tribunal establishes a firm ban on all forms of magical experimentation and creation, otherwise known as Weaving. New spells and artifacts are forbidden. The reason for this is not known, but it's purpose may have been for the consolidation of power.   That winter, weavers who refuse to give up their ways are expelled from the town into the wilds. Most scholars agree that none survived in the harsh conditions outside of town. It is likewise generally agreed that most magical power resided with the Tribunal by the spring, firmly establishing them as the magical elite of Villania.
