The Schools of Magic remains the most important single text in Villanian History, detailing all 608 known spells into a single tome. It is the first document to codify the schools of magic, though the sophistication of the document has led many scholars to believe that it must have been a collection of earlier works now lost.   The Symbol of The Tribunal is created, which over time becomes the symbol of the entire continent of Villania: Three concentric sets of rings: The innermost, three rings for the three founding mages of the tribunal; the middle, eight rings for the eight schools of magic; the outer, nine for the nine peoples who first settled Villania.
