Personal history

Thrown out by his mother at a young age, it does seem curious that Phíliel would elect to keep their last name. That is until one considers feelings of spite, and wanting to embarass their recklessly rich mother.
Not that much is exactly known about how Phíliel grew up, seeing as they did most of that on the street, but the young, and clever, half-elf secured work in a... let's say unscrupulous lumber yard in their early teens. There they worked, and slaved, and lost their right hand, all while getting increasingly angry at the absolutely horrible conditions under which they and their fellow comrades had to work under. That's when they met Yara. Strong, charismatic, and smart, she quickly got the now 17-year old Phíliel in on her highly illegal union activities, and after that it was off to the races.
For the next 14 years Phíliel worked themselves up to being her right-hand elf, a charismatic public speaker, and an utter embarassment for their mother (the esteemed Anastrianna Moonbranch). When Yara ended up getting killed by guard retaliation during protests, it didn't take much convincing for or from anyone to elect Phíliel as her successor. For the last 30 years they have worked their ass off, getting the public to recognise and accept several unions, straight up torching several factories that had heavily mistreating their workers, and in general being a huge pain for the government and a hero for the people.
