Erik Wardnurm, Mortal Mage of the Scholars of Loarkam
Erik Wardnurm, a half thraugon, half human male, was always fascinated by the arcane arts. As a young boy, he spent hours poring over dusty tomes in the local library, learning all he could about the mystical forces that governed the world. Despite the ridicule he often faced from his peers, Erik remained committed to his studies, driven by a deep sense of curiosity and wonder. It wasn't until Erik was a grown man that he encountered the Scholars of Loarkam.
He had heard rumors of this secretive group before, but had never paid much attention to them. However, when he learned that they had recently begun accepting mortals into their ranks, he knew he had to investigate further.
Erik was immediately struck by the group's dedication to fairness and justice, as well as their deep understanding of the arcane arts. He was welcomed into their fold with open arms, and quickly proved himself to be a skilled mage.
However, it wasn't until he learned of the Scholars' past that Erik truly found his place among them. He was horrified to learn of the atrocities committed by the Angels of Loarkam in the name of maintaining balance, and was deeply moved by the Scholars' commitment to making amends for their past wrongs.
Erik never forgot the sense of wonder and curiosity that had first drawn him to the arcane arts. He remains a student of magic to this day, always seeking to learn more about the mysteries of the universe and the dark goddess who commanded them.
