Thurismatho
Turismatho, known as the Larva Magna in Common Rexan, is the the demonic ruler of the of the underworld according to Rhenish myth. Taking the form of a maggot of immense size, the Thurismatho seeks to induce men to sloth, greed, and cowardice so that they suffer rebirth as vermin-slaves under his tyrannical rule.
Summary
According to the original beliefs of the Rhenlanders those uphold the tenants of the Aldarwis during their lives earn the right to travel to their eternal reward as the smoke of their funeral pyres rise into the skies above Tel to meet Father Teuz. However, the weak, cowardly, and guileful are not seen as deserving of ritual cremation upon death. Instead, their corpses are place into the ground, where it is thought that they are reborn as earthworms and other vermin that are doomed to a life of toil in Hegge's soil until they are seen as worthy of rebirth.
