Land Riders

Land riders are a form of ground vehicle powered by earth attuned Elemental Engine, and are widely used for a multitude of purposes across different islands. Most land riders levitate a few feet off of the ground when in use, while others, particularly older models, use wheels to steer the vehicle in motion.

Utility

Land riders have a wide range of uses, from personal conveyance, to farm work, to moving goods, to any number of uses. Some modern Sky Ships actually carry small land riders with them for onloading and offloading cargo, as well as for exploring undeveloped islands with hazardous terrain.

Manufacturing

Due to their simple design, land riders can be easily built by anyone with even minor technical knowledge and access to a earth attuned Elemental Engine. In the hundreds of years since the technology has become available to the Skies, thousands of iterations have been made upon the original concept of land riders, each specialized for different purposes and environments. 
However, there are some companies and organizations which manufacture land riders and sell them for profit. There are several such companies found on Skyhome and throughout the United Federation of Independent Colonies, while The Mechanist Guild of Molten Heart also produces its own line of land riders.

Inventor(s)

The first land riders were invented by the The Mechanist Guild of Molten Heart, their designs drafted by an unknown Gobi inventor.
