Molten Heart
The island of Molten Heart is as inhospitable as the skies can provide. Comprised of three chunks of stretchmarks stone, pockmarked with craters, caverns, and rivers of molten lava, just navigating the island is a test of endurance and survival. The terrain is dominated by dozens upon dozens of jagged peaks, and crowned with several active volcanoes that constantly spew forth liquid rock and black smoke.
Towers of black iron sprout across the island's surface, angular structures of straight lines and jagged points. Fortress-cities of similar construction dot the coast, serving as the hubs for trade and large scale construction on the island. Aerial weaponry of all design and viciousness can be seen proudly displayed upon the walls, discouraging any pirate or elemental horror from attempting to breach them.
The air is sweltering at all times, as the rivers of molten rock and metal keep the air balmy in all seasons. The only water on the island, a vital resource to such a desolate island, comes from torrential monsoons that strike the islands west coast with equal parts consistency and ferocity. A massive and complex system of water-catchers has been built on this side of the island to collect and store water, ensuring an adequate supply for the population.
The island is the home to both the Doro and the Gobi, and is controlled and protected by the The Guild Order. One need only look at the habitat from which these two peoples sprung to instantly recognize the ways in which their environments have shaped their development both physically and socially. In modern times, the population of Molten Heart is concentrated in the many towers across it's landscape, as well the 3 "safe-holds" which serve as fortress cities. Most trade, governance, and direction comes from the cities, as they are the primary home of the Doro, who despite their smaller population, are the rulers of Molten Heart.
The three holds are called Titan Scream Hold, Olvrok Hold, and Thunder Rock Hold.
There used to be a fourth hold, Coal Blood Hold, but in the year 398 AF, it was subsumed by a cloud of Nul fog, and its residents were transformed into flesh craving shadows of their former selves. The hold, and the satellite island upon which it sat, were quarantined, and great iron walls were quickly erected to block the land bridge between the satellite and the main island. As of yet, attempts to retake the island from the undead have been costly and disastrous.

Fauna & Flora
Little to nothing grows on this desolate rock, with the only vegetation being dense clusters of root vegetables and mushrooms that feed upon the nutrient rich volcanic soil. What few edible animals there are are mainly winged creatures that nest upon the jagged mountains, or else only pass over the island on route during their natural migrations. Wild elementals roam the landscape, and either ignore travelers completely, or peruse them with blinding rage and murderous intent.
Natural Resources
Molten heart is rich in three things: Metal, stone, and soil. The constant volcanic activity which directly results from the fire and earth Source Crystals at the island's core, constantly produces an abscess of molten rock and liquid metal. Molten Heart, in fact, is the most consistent source of all kinds of metal in the Skies. A majority of the steel, iron, and copper traded in the skies, particularly among the members of The Pact, originated from Molten Heart.
Additionally, both the volcanic stone and soil produced by the Source Crystals is extremely valuable off-island. Skyhome and a number of smaller island settlements import Molten Heart stone for construction. Ironically, the soil of Molten Heart is rich in all sorts of minerals that make it ideal for farming, but due to the islands unruly weather pasterns, large-scale agriculture on the island is more or less impossible. Therefor, the soil of this island is likewise sold to other settlements across the Skies, particularly to those who do not have access to druidic magic to already augment their ability to grow food.
