Stones of Power

Stones of power are chunks of Echo Quartz enchanted with elemental magic which bestows powerful effects onto the objects that they're embedded into.

Manufacturing process

Echo Quartz is a unique material that contains, retains, and refracts magical energy for great periods of time. Due to this unique trait, wizards, artificers, sorcerers, and other magical crafters are able to weave complex magical enchantments through esoteric rituals.

Rarity

Stones of power are somewhat rare in the Skies, and even then, require specially designed equipment to implement. They are most often found in the possession of powerful adventures, military officials, and protectors of the Sky's politician. Occasionally, stones of power can be found in dungeons, in the safe of a captain's quarters, or in shops that sell rare and intriguing artifacts.

A Stone of Power is no bigger than a pearl.

Tools

Different crafters use different tools and materials to imbue their enchantments into the quartz. Powerful ingredients are often needed to produce even more powerful effects, which they often hire adventures and mercenaries to acquire.
