House Dagonet
"Don't tease a tiefling or you'll bet a brief verbal beating"
History
House Dagonet is as weird as the founder itself, Dagonet. Dagonet was one of the eight Companions of the Highlander King and was taught magic by him for one reason, his voice. Despite being physically incapable of proper combat of any kind and being somewhat of a fool, his voice and natural charisma somehow compensated for his lack of prowess as a proper voice. The man could sing, dance, play a myriad of instruments, and could talk his way in and out of almost any situation.
The more heretical legends according to scholars claim that Dagonet was a Tiefling of all things, a being born cursed with the blood of Lord Crom Cruach and the fires of Inferno. That his infernal visage and abominable appearance could be tolerated due to his skill as an entertainer and performer, it is a tale that is both sad and inspiring. But therein lies a question: was he "blessed" with such skills by Lord Crom Cruach to deceive others or is his skills his alone due to a desire to be loved? Regardless, his house's heraldry is a red bull against a golden harp on a solid black background. His kin, Knightly Orders, and Knights had a bull of some sort in their heraldry and emblems as well.
House Dagonet prior to the Great Rebellion served as lore keepers and ambassadors of all things, through song they felt was the best way to keep the peace and to record history. The other Houses loved their books and running records of all things, but House Dagonet kept both a written and oral history of the world in song so that no one could forget it. For songs they believed could live in the heart and the mind forever... but none today can remember their songs for the Holy Order of the Light burned and purged everyone in that infernal bloodline and its following.
