History

Scathach was one of the eight Companions of the first Highlander King during the Great Revolution, when compared to the others and how they were taught magic she was the most natural at it. She was the first Human, besides the Highlander King himself, to master all five colors of magic and went on to create a small "army" capable of wielding said magicks. Prior to and following the Great Revolution, she and her followers dedicated themselves into discovering the sixth color of magic.
According to a rather heretical legend, Scathach sought out the power of Lady Python Delphi and made an oath to her that would follow her kin for generations. In exchange for power and the forbidden knowledge of the sixth color of magic, she and her descendants became the first Yuan-Ti to appear in the Freelands. Thus is why her heraldry is that of a green snake encircling a yellow wand with the 5 colors in a crystal on the tip splashed against a grey background. In fact all her kin, Knightly Orders, and Knights use a snake in their emblems and heraldry as well.
House Scathach following the Great Revolution and up to the Great Rebellion was not a traditional house with warriors of the air, land, and sea like many of other Old Blood Houses. But more like a clandestine school of mages; Wizards, Sorcerers, and Warlocks were all welcome there once they were either sworn or married into the House or its Orders. When the Great Rebellion came for them, the Holy Order of the Light took extreme pleasure in purging this House and its Orders for their heretical magicks and histories.
