The Codex Stella

"The Codex Stella is the first and only of its kind, it is the word and truth of our Holy Nine Deities; and the origins of all our peoples."

~Father Lucian I of the Holy Order and author of the Codex Stella

Purpose

The nine chapter book which each chapter describing the history, purpose, and story behind each of the Nine Deities.

Historical Details

Background

This book was the basis of the Holy Order as it described the Nine Deities of the Freelands, in which both the book and the Order were created by Father Lucien I, son of the first Highlander King.

History

Approximately 4000 years ago, Father Lucien explored the entirety of the Freelands interviewing Humans, Beastfolk, and Dwellers regarding the Nine Deities and prayed to them himself. As such he founded the Holy Order, wrote the Codex Stella, both of which have had a lasting impact on the people of the Freelands. Furthermore he became the first Hierophant, the Order's leader, as well.

Public Reaction

The Holy Order was a brilliant force that united all the races within the Kingdom of Man after the Great Revolution; Humans, Dwellers, and Beastfolk alike worshipped and prayed to the same gods and goddesess despite their inherent dislike for one and other for a myriad of reasons. That is until the Holy Order was reformed into the Holy Order of the Light approximately 2000 years ago during the Great Rebellion.

Legacy

The Codex Stella is still in use in the present day Freelands, however the current the Holy Order of the Light disregards all chapters regarding all other Deities than Lady Bellona Albion. They now use the Codex Stella as a means and excuse to purge all "heretical practices" in the name of Lady Bellona Albion.
