Sleeper's Ivy

Sleeper's ivy, also known as pale-eye, nuniq'waz, or dreamwort, is a common perennial evergreen vine valued for its sedative properties in folk medicine. Consuming too much of any part of the vine, however, and one risks its psychoactive effects and -- quickly -- its toxicity. One notable ritual use is in Kivan binddrought.   Its five-pronged leaves are dark green and toothed, and ranged from 4" long to the size of a hand. Younger leaves are more potent and thus more often used in medicine. In the Season of Ripening sparse, small blueish-white circular flowers appear with a mild, pleasant scent.   A notable specimen has colonized part of the exterior of the House of Korzhûn.
