Temple

A Temple is a type of religious building of the Order of the Burning Crown, higher in status (and often physical size) than a Cloister but lesser than a Glory. They are present in larger communities and are overseen by a Minister, with or without the help of Chaplains, under the direction of the closest Hand or Herald.   Temples serve their surrounding communities but often have more specific focuses, such as acting as a philanthropic hospital or missionary work (as with the Temple at Willowbreak Field).

Architecture

Temples typically have two main architecture components: a shallow-roofed colonade in a sickle shape, and in its curve behind it, a square main building capped in the center, slightly at the back, with a large dome. The ley components of the interior -- a Room of Pillars, River Chamber, sanctum, and treasury -- mimic a Glory, but unlike a Glory they are usually of only one story. Likewise, the two differ in that Temples include living quarters for their priesthood.
