Vitane Family (VIT-TAIN)

The Vitanes are both a political family as part of the Keeping of Keismeb and a prominent mixed nae'cthosai-faun blood-related family in their own right. They are one of the longest-standing members of the Keeping and have lived in the capital for generations following its founding, and their inclusion in the Keeping mostly comes from this clout as much as their wealth. Their crest consists of two flowering branches crossed behind a bulbous jar.
Their wealth comes primarily from managing the largest mining operation in the country, and their carving houses are responsible for most of the accompanying siyravuud-carving and other jewelcrafting. Other prudent investments and intuitive trade deals keep them in a consistent state of comfort, and they prefer to avoid flaunting their wealth. Lasting stigma against the blood-family's mixed heritage has led to them not being taken seriously, which has helped them avoid much notice. They are known to be one of the less corrupt Families in the Keeping.
The entire family consists of roughly thirty individuals, including the blood-family, with commissioned forces being an additional possible two hundred. They typically refer to themselves without distinction between blood-relation and other relation as simply 'the Vitane Family' or 'the Vitanes'.
