The Corner

This is the name of the reflection wherein Ravenhill resides. It technically is not part of an actual nation, human or otherwise per say. There are some city states and fiefs and stuff like that, and they generally associate with each other, however, there is nothing even remotely resembling a centralized government. I think there used to be at some point, but travel is somewhat difficult to and from here other than at specific parts of the year, and there haven’t been any great native generals recently to unite things. Some come themselves lords, some call themselves kings, or whatever they want to really, but the only thing anyone can agree on is that they would rather ally with a hated neighbor for a season against ambitious dude over there than be ruled by anyone again. This attitude won’t last, and the smarter people know it, but its worked for the past few generations, and is the general state the area reverts to whenever the last big empire loses its grip on them.
