Jack Ravenhill must "prove his worth" to his new landlords by fetching something from a nearby city for them.

Jack Ravenhill gets sent to Ayn to retrieve something from The Ravens' past. He is of course given quite unhelpful advice and metrics for this "quest" because they think that sort of thing is funny. Chaos and hilarity ensues, but he manages to make it back, setting the stage for all the stuff that is going to actually happen to this soon-to-be family
