The Valkyrie's Wings

The second of the two items gifted to Karaj Raksi by the Dragon King, this shield grants its bearer the ability to dash across a battlefield at impossible speeds to throw him or herself in the way of a blow aimed at another (in addition to the standard sturdiness of magically enchanted shields).  The biggest downside to this item is the fact that while the shield sustains its bearer during the battle itself, the energy required for the stunts it allows must eventually come from the body of the wielder.  When used intemperately, this can result in near-instant death as soon as the battle is concluded.  As such, this too was not an item often utilized by Raksi himself, but often instead used by his personal bodyguard (a position that had to be changed many times during his reign).  Like Blooddrinker however, there are several famous events that hinged upon Raksi's personal use of the relic himself.
Although with a far less violent past than the Blooddrinker, this shield has reappeared from time to time throughout the history of the The Divershplain.  Its exact location is not currently known, although there are rumors that one of several different knightly orders currently guards it, waiting for the return of one worthy to bear it into battle once again.
