Staff of Unity
Staff of Unity is a mysterious voor artefact found by elam archaeologists about 20 years. It was found in a derelict base on a moon orbiting a gas giant. From the information that was possible to decipher from the barely functional computer systems of the base, the staff belonged to the leader of the Voor. A few lines of text seemed to imply that the staff has some sort of an additional power beyond just being a ceremonial object. It is theorized that the Voor could have been telepathic to some degree and their leader was using the staff to telepathically send instructions and orders across the voor empire.
Currently, the staff is held in storage at the Galactic History Museum on The Heart, the seat of the Galactic Federation. Scientists of many fields have been studying it throughout the years, but none of them have reached any decisive conclusions.
Significance
If the information found in the derelict base was true, the staff belonged to the leader of the voor state. Historians say that it may have even been the symbol of the office, passed from one leader to the next. Some people go as far as saying that the voor state was a monarchy and the stuff was their equivalent of the crown jewels.
Staff's Appearance
The Staff of Unity is constructed in a similar manner to all other staffs that have ever existed in the galaxy. On the top of a long rod, covered in gold, there is a decorative element. In this case, it resembles a pair of wings in a position that creates a circle space between them. To the wings are attached several small metal rods to which a cracked half of a crystal is attached. Scientists theorize that in the past the crystal was whole. It probably could serve as some sort of an amplifier for the leader's telepathic abilities allowing them to transmit information to all Voor.
