Amobans exhibit a distinctive physical makeup that distinguishes them from other humanoid species. Their impressive height and rotund, moisture-laden bodies are particularly notable, and their long, flexible tongues are incredibly slimy and can extend up to three meters. Remarkably, their business acumen often overshadows their physical attributes, as they have become renowned for their shrewd dealings.
The amphibious nature of Amobans plays a pivotal role in their lifestyle. These beings require proximity to water bodies to regulate their body temperatures and keep their skin moist. In climates unsuited to their moisture-dependent constitution, they employ costly rehydration chambers or pools to extend their time away from aquatic environments. This physiological peculiarity does not detract from their considerable strength, demonstrated by their ability to launch fully grown Sylops great distances with powerful kicks, although their inclination for such actions is generally lacking.
Intriguingly, Amoban reproduction diverges from the norm, with males depositing thousands of eggs within a female host through their thick reproductive fluids. The eggs then gestate for several months before hatching, highlighting the unique biological processes of their species.
History:
Arriving from a system closely guarded by the Amobans themselves, not a whole lot is known about their history of the race. What is known is that they were not shy about stepping onto the galactic playing field, with perceptive cunning and vast resources, the five most prominent Amoban families of their world quickly adapted to the larger culture forming among the galactic community. Quickly establishing a firm grip over numerous worlds and setting up various enterprises to increase both their power and influence. With their rise also came competition, and for generations the Amobans fought both themselves and other businesses and governments for control, ending with four of the Amoban families joining the Corpo Alliance to secure their holdings and work towards their larger goals of total domination.
The Amoban presence can be felt all across the galaxy, with numerous shell companies, brands and enterprises being controlled or puppeteered by these ravenous amphibians.
