Flup is a veteran soldier of the Yakana’s army, serving in its ranks for 30 years. He has fought in some of the Yakana’s greatest military campaigns including the Siege of Droma, the Assault of Heliggs III and the Capture of UC Ambassador Drennet L’Kol.
Although, all of these achievements occurred without Flup’s help. For all his time in the military, he proved to be a useless trooper. Struggling to follow even the simplest of orders, Flup only ever survived encounters through sheer dumb luck. He lost both an eye and an arm to his incompetence, but just barely scraped through enough battles to be promoted.
As a commander, it was even worse, getting his entire squad killed several times with his pathetic leadership skills. Yet with no witnesses left to counter his debriefs, his accounts of “there was nothing I could do for them, boss” were taken as the truth.
When his time in the army was done, Flup struggled to hold down a regular job due to his inability to not mess up. Eventually, he became an enforcer for the small-time Yakana gang leader Forlugi, impressing him with his history of battle experience. Of course, Flup never mentioned what actually happened in those battles and constantly lies about the events, even contradicting himself several times each day.
