Humans aka Homo Sapiens/Humies are a hairless bipedal race of primates originating from the planet Earth. They are a fairly new race on the galactic stage and have just begun to find their place in the cosmos.
Having left the planet of Earth in the year 2187 to explore beyond their Sol System, they soon encountered the rest of the galaxy and after several violent clashes quickly learnt much in the way of advanced technologies that quickly brought themselves up to the standards of the wider cosmos.
Humans were wary at first of the other species in the galaxy and were always distrustful of their intentions. In return, the galaxy found the human race to be a strange, exotic and amusing race that considered itself rather highly and despite these initial mistrusts, Humans soon began to spread throughout the galaxy, colonising or assimilating onto other worlds where their knack for trading and exotic beauty became a staple of their services to the larger galactic community, soon millions of humans called hundreds of world home, working as soldiers, pleasure providers, bureaucrats and labourers.
200 years after they had spread through the stars, humanity back on earth began to grow jealous of their seemingly insignificant status in the galaxy and the outlandish sexual objectification of their kind on many worlds. The unrest grew to riots back on earth when news spread that a human mining colony had been ambushed by slavers, its colonists captured and sold into slavery. In light of these events, the governments on earth united together to declare a ''Great Crusade'' with the aim of conquering large swaths of the galaxy and ''reunite'' all of the humans who now lived beyond. Thousands of ships left Earth, geared up and ready for war with the ''Evil Xenos'' beyond, ready to liberate their kind once and for all, only to be annihilated by The Ratrizar Empire within the first month of the campaign. Earth was conquered shortly after by Ratrizar and incorporated them into their territories, with millions of humans now serving within their empire as soliders and generals.
The millions of humans beyond Earth's reach are now totally alone and must learn to fight and fend for themselves.
