Miralel was once a renowned scientist and geneticist from the acclaimed Blorgon Academy of applied science. A methodical, tireless researcher, from the moment Miralel joined the academy, she quickly made a name for herself with her outstanding contributions in the fields of xenobiology and gene splicing.
These efforts were driven by Miralel’s own fascination in creating ‘’higher beings’’ creatures that could be spliced from the various species of the galaxy, removing their ‘’impurities’’ and combining the most desirable traits to be made into flawless specimens, able to be fine tuned to play any role or purpose in the galaxy.
After graduating from the academy, Miralel took a job in the United Coalition as a geneticist in their R&D division. It was here, with access to state of the art equipment and the perfect cover, Miralel began her work.
Taking various prisoners from the local detention centres of Lokat Prime, ones she believed no one would remember, she would toil in the shadows, staying late into her shift when everyone had gone home to conduct abhorrent and unspeakable experiments on her subjects, attempting to further her understanding on the complexities of anatomy.
It wasn’t until one day, during a breakthrough with one particular subject, did a colleague discover her grim work beneath the R&D labs. Horrified at the sight and just narrowly escaping a panicked Miralel, the incident was reported to the UC’s higher ups. Facing arrest or execution by a UC tribunal for her ‘’unethical practices’’, Miralel fled Lokat, wandering the galaxy as a renegade before finding herself aligned to Forlugi’s gang on Waraxx.
Now a wanted woman, Miralel spends her time attempting to woo Forlugi into providing her funds to continue her work’s, with Forlugi happy to tease her with the idea of providing her resources, mostly because she’s eye candy to enjoy and play with at his leisure.
Despite being reduced to a begging scientist, dark rumours about the ‘’Witch of Kyln’’ continue to haunt her, constantly fearful that one day, justice may at last catch up to her.
