Biology:
With distinctly bright pink skin, soothing pheromones and bubbly dispositions, Nymphoids are peaceful by nature, having chosen a life of the arts and music, Nymphoids do their best to stave off contact in favour of diplomacy. Having mastered their own biology through the use of their cultural practices, Nymphoids posses remarkable abilities such as the manipulation of their hair and eye colours, fertility and even limited telepathy between their own kind. These changes to their own genetic make up allows them to breed and mate with almost any species, the body able to adapt to serve as an ideal host regardless of their partner.
History:
Nymphoid legends speak of how their kind was birthed into existence through the holy pairing of their gods Klistua and Jev'hera, two omnipotent beings who instructed the Nymphoids to live in harmony with their world and pursue greater enlightenment through the master of oneself and the appreciation of mortal pleasures. These have legends inspired Nymphoids for generations to pursue the commandments of their deities, vowing to make love instead of violence, thus their kind has experienced little in the way of major conflicts through their existence. This harmonious practice allowed the Nymphoids to commit themselves into passions such as writing, arts, sexual positivity and spirituality, developing complex rituals to give thanks to their creators by expressing themselves through creativity and allowing equality for all members of their society.
Nymphoids live in ''Clans'' across their world, with members choosing their clan's name as their last to identify where they hail from. These clans are ruled by Matriarchal ''Muhans'' or high priestesses, providing spiritual guidance for those in their care. Despite the wide assortment of clans, each one treats the other with warmth, settling disputes over a glass of warmed Algax wine and some music.
All Nymphoids to some extent will practice the ''Nim'ut'' or ''Mastery'' a multi-year practice of devoting ones self to a speciality of their choosing. Through these practices, they become skilled in a variety of studies such as wine making, scripting literature, science or the art of pleasure. Sexual practices in particular are sacred to the Nymphoids, believing it to be the greatest expression of their deities and thus, partake in annual orgies and private love making to form deep bonds with one another, a practice observers, even the most prude have regarded as ''beautiful''.
When the wider galaxy reached the Nymphoids, they were able to stave off any potential oppression or enslavement through the use of tactical diplomacy. The Nymphoids have offered their ways and services to the wider galaxy in exchange for neutrality, all are welcome to their world to purchase pleasure and relaxation, and with the advent of space travel, they now offer potential clients visits from their most skilled pleasurers for a sizeable payment. This esteemed practice of sending their own out into the cosmos to share their ways has brought great wealth to Proserpina VIII, allowing Nymphoid culture to thrive.
Of course now they exist within the larger galactic community, rogue Nymphoids, shunned by their people or seeking adventure have set fourth into the galaxy on their own paths.
