Saithari

The Saithari are a snake-like species known for their cruelty and cunning.
Biology:
A Saithari is recognizable thanks to their unique characteristics. Unlike many the vast majority of sentient species that have a bipedal or quadrupedal stance, the Saithari instead glide along surfaces thanks to their slimy serpentine bodies, sporting two arms in order interact with the world, along with thermal eyesight, and an incredibly acute smell thanks to their sensitive forked tongues. Most deadly of all are their fangs, sporting hollow tubes that induce a deadly neurotoxin, the razer like teeth of the Saithari can paralyse almost any whom they attack, often proving fatal in smaller species.
They are natural hunters and resourceful ambushers, having evolved to become the dominant race of their homeworld Misario by utilising cunning traps and teamwork to subdue the limited prey that occupied their barren home. Eventually, the Saithari learned that there was far more use in enslaving and controlling their prey, learning that sometimes prey could be used for more than just food.

History:
After achieving Warp-Light travel a few hundred years ago, the Saithari soon became the most notorious slavers in the galaxy. From their earliest exploration into the stars, the Saithari had a tendency to capture and subjugate those they came across, becoming efficient in cruel methods used to break and control this new supply of ''Bogulak'' (cattle) for their own ends, mercilessly reaving the stars in their crude vessels.
Eventually, the Saithari’s success caught the attention of the Yakana Cartel, who offered the Saithari clans the chance to join their ranks and open up an even wider market of fresh slaves for conquest. In the present, Saithari raiding parties patrol the stars, descending on vulnerable worlds and travellers to cart them away to Misario, where the Saithari delight in inflicting frequent torture and mind-breaking methods to produce some of the finest slaves in the galaxy.
