Anytime I write a name it never...sticks.
They seem to be spirits of loss, having even lost their names. Forgotten.
How sad.
My working theory is that they are Spirits of lost children. Those that ran from home and were never found, or were taken from their families to never be seen again. Some of them are lost items like keys, wallets or what have you.
They take the form of a child with deep, dark holes for eyes. Holes that, should they be gazed into, you might feel yourself getting lost in them.
Caretakers Telepathy, related to "The Circle", citizens of the city near death... They wear hooded robes that go all the way to the ground and they walk about, doing their daily chores without ever speaking. They communicate via telepathy. The Writer encountered these beings on Daulok 03, 258.
Spiral Raptors I've seen many things have the affliction of The Spiral...The Twisting Gate seems to be trying to claim them, or already has. These can take the form of any bird of prey depending on the habitat. Owls, hawks, eagles, vultures, etc. They are simultaneously in The Gates and in The Twisting Gate as they spiral between the two of them constantly. Can be seen pretty much anywhere in The Gates. As they fly, rifts open and close transporting them to a new location, usually several feet in front of where it would've been. Excuse the drawing, it is rather challenging to depict a bird spiraling in and out of existence.
