Abyssal Redemption

Abyssal Redemption is a Talisman created by Namina. It was designed to ward against the influence of The Unblinking Sein. The recipe came to Namina during a Tea Party she had while the Spiritual Travelers were recuperating after their recent encounter with it.   Recipe
"The materials and “Gooey Center” of this talisman must be crafted in pitch black darkness. Absolutely no light. Help from the “darkness” spell can be beneficial when making this part of the item.   Using a mortar and pestle, combine:   the dirt that is almost out of reach from where you are currently sitting.
Ash from a burned building
The grime from a cellar with gray stone walls.
One firefly   After it has been thoroughly ground up, add the blood of a frightened person. This could be your own, a friend’s, or an enemy’s. As long as they were spooked while the blood was taken.   The horrendous goop mixture must not be seen, light cannot touch it, and it must be contained in darkness so that it can be placed inside the exterior of the talisman.   Certain plants hold darkness quite well, the spirits suggest the following:   Shadow Vines: This plant only grows where no light has ever reached. This includes in caves, deep trenches, and other such locations. It can sometimes also be found in certain areas of the forest where the plant life has been left undisturbed. It could be wrapped around the mixture.   The exterior of this talisman must be crafted in extreme, blinding light. Absolutely no darkness, no shadows, nothing of the sort can touch the materials while they are being formed into the exterior of the talisman.   Using a very sharp knife, careful not to cut yourself while you can’t see your hands, create a hollowed out shell in a shape of your choosing using Sundrenched Sweetgum wood.   The resin of the Sundrenched Sweetgum should be mixed with the following:   Ground up petals, leaves and dried stems of Aotrom’s Gift. It is apparently a flower similar to one found by Agave awhile back called “Dorchar’s Gift”, though it predictably is only found during the day.
Ground up dried roots of something called “Ar’en’el’s Longing”. It is apparently a plant that doesn’t have any vines, stems, leaves, flowers or anything growing above ground, only roots. The roots of this plant are obviously dirty, but when they are cleaned or cut into it exposes the brilliant light held within. They should remain dirty and uncut until the appropriate blinding light for the crafting process of this talisman is set up.   Place the gooey center inside the two halves of the hollowed out exterior that was just crafted, apply some of the resin between the two pieces thoroughly coating the pegs that will make sure it stays in place. Then cover the entire shell in more resin. The light should not be diminished until the resin dries.   It is advised that any decorative or holy symbols that would be applied to a talisman crafted by you be applied before the resin."
The ingredients were collected as quickly as possible, and Namina finished assembling the Talisman on Nurend 42, 308. The current goal is to use it to help Ilven separate herself from the spirit that has consumed her.
