Frogs

The Spirit World is home to a variety of different frogs. Each species comes in a range of colors, sizes, skin patterns and so on. While many of the frogs seen in The Gates could be recognized on the material plane, there are also several that have hidden natures as spirits or fae. They can be found in most biomes including the forests (both southern and northern), the badlands, the mountains and the area north of the mountains. They are, however, strangely absent from the tundra of the Northlands. This is likely due to how unusually cold it can get, however, the "endless" nature of this area suggests that there may be some out there that just haven't been found.
Bullfrog
The Spiritual Travelers encountered this Frog species on Nurend 04, 308 during their first venture into Tympi's Forest. It appears to be an ordinary bullfrog with an off-white underside and a pale green top and the occasional group of bumps scattered on its skin. Kaswink has not dissected this creature, and the party seems to have adopted it as a pet for the time being. They have decided to name it Croak Chomsky.
Glass-eyed Hissing Rain Frog
Amongst the menagerie of froglife found by Kaswink on Nurend 04, 308 was a rather less-than-mundane species that, when first discovered in the fog, was ordinarily frog-shaped. However, as the group continued traveling through this fog it began to expand and become bulbous much like a rain frog. When disturbed or frightened it hissed in a rather unpleasant way not unlike a loud Madagascan Hissing Cockroach mixed with a quieter tea kettle. Its eyes are translucent, almost like glass and some of the inner-workings of the frog are partially visible in the right lighting.
Oyster Frog
This creature was discovered by Kaswink on Nurend 07, 308. It had pearls tucked behind flaps where ears would be on another animal, its flesh was a very soft pink color with beaded ridges along its head and back giving it an almost wrinkled appearance.
